The Highways Are Being Built - But Where Are the Cars?

The Highways Are Being Built - But Where Are the Cars? 🚗

Lately, I’ve been seeing some fantastic posts - smart, sharp, and hilariously on point.

I wanted to kick off today with something equally witty… but my meme juice is running low.

So instead, I’m going to talk about my beloved blockchain tech. (again) 🤓

Both myself and my Co-founder come from a Web2 consumer background, and one of the things we’re most passionate about is tokenisation of real-world assets and solving real-world pain points.

But let’s zoom out for a second.

Only 6–7% of Web3 investments currently target direct consumer use cases.

That’s wild when you think about how much potential is still sitting untapped.

Yes, infrastructure needs to be laid.

Yes, highways must be built before cars can drive.

But what if the real opportunity lies in building those cars now, and the teams who quietly ship great user-facing products today might be the ones who onboard the next million users tomorrow?

So…

Which use case do you think everyone is still sleeping on?

Here are a few that we think deserve more attention:

Digital Product Passports

Track the full lifecycle of a product with blockchain-backed authenticity. Luxury, cars, cycling gear - it’s already happening. #MyLime in Italy is leading this for bikes and autos.

Decentralised Identity

Self-sovereign identity could transform the way we sign up, share, and secure our data.

Tokenisation of Tangible Assets

From fine art to IP rights, blockchain is opening up new ways to own, access, and invest.

Decentralised Social

Platforms like Lens Protocol and Bluesky are experimenting with models where users truly own their content and data.

The tech is ready.

The market is warming up.

And the retail adoption gap is still wide open.

Let’s bring those users on-chain.
